Hint of the Week
How to avoid the dreaded "I forgot":
Ever missed an appointment, or forgot to meet a deadline? It
happens to everyone at some point, but it happens less to those who
follow this simple rule: ALWAYS write it down. Even if you think
you won't forget, don't risk it. How many times have you been busy
with something, thought of something else that needs attention, and
dropped what you are doing so you won't forget to get that other thing
done? Before too long, you find yourself rushing from one
uncompleted task to the next, leaving behind a trail of unfinished work
while successfully raising your stress levels and lowering your
productivity. Buy a batch of sticky notes and keep them on your desk.
If you can't afford sticky notes or want to help save some trees,
recycle office paper with printing on one side. Cut the paper into
notelet-sized pieces and keep the little papers on your desk in a box
that also contains some sticky tape for taping the note to a spot where
you will see it later. When you think of something that needs to be
done, write yourself a note to remind you to do it when you have
completed the task you are busy with.
