Booster for the Week
Cleaning up on the inside...
Psalm 51:10: "Create in
me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast
spirit within me."
Sometimes at work, you reach the stage where you
have had enough and want to bad mouth someone or
say something hurtful to a colleague or client.
Maybe you are able to abstain from physically
saying it, but instead you think it?
The Word for today speaks about a 'clean heart'. How do we cultivate a clean heart? I believe it is possible to do so by loving one another, and being obedient to God's Word, by believing what He says to be true, and by practicing what He says. If we do these things, we are able to ask God to 'create in me a pure heart and renew a steadfast spirit in me'.
When we have that 'pure heart and steadfast spirit', the desire to say nasty things to someone will disappear and instead we will want to show love. We will start living a life that reflects Jesus in ALL we do, including the way we handle difficult and frustrating situations at the office.
