Another kind of promotion...
Philippians 4 v 19: And my God will
meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in
Christ Jesus.
Last week, we spoke about the people
who have recently been promoted. Today, we will reflect on
those that were overlooked for promotion or an increase.
God says in His Word (The Bible) that we can ask anything in His name and He will do it (John 14v14). Take some time out of your busy day to talk to your Father God. He wants you to ask Him for what you need - He longs to have fellowship with you through simple conversation. God knows what you need before you even approach Him. Of course He knows that you long for that increase.... but the Bible says: 'And my God will meet your every needs' (it says needs - plural - not one need but many needs, and for many people having an increased income is definitely a need). The Bible doesn't stop there - it goes on to say: 'according (definition of "according" is in agreement with) to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus'.
God longs to bless you - He is your Source, not the salary deposited in your bank account or the cheque that you take home at the end of the month. God loves you and wants to bless you today. When God blesses us, that blessing is far greater than any pay cheque could be!
