Going the extra mile today...

2 Corinthians 9 v 11:
You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.
We have all been, at one time or another, in a place where someone asks us to do something that we are more than capable of doing.  However, we choose to not do it because we think it is not part of our job description.

But wait - the Bible says: 'that you can be generous on every occasion'.  Let's pursue this thought a little further.  If God will make us (you and me) 'rich in every way' then surely that means "rich" at work while doing our everyday activities, too.  That being "rich in every way" must then also include EVERYTHING we do at work.  And why does God make us rich so we can take that with us to work each day?  He intends for us to be generous with what He has given us.

So take the challenge and choose just this once to do that extra 'something' at work.  Consider the request an opportunity God has given you (some of those riches) so you can be generous in your response to the request.  And what will all this extra effort achieve?  "Your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God."  Take the challenge to do that something extra today, and then see how God will bless you with generosity so that you can give Him thanks and be made more rich.
